My Picks:
Seattle Seahawks over Washington Redskins
Buffalo Bills over Houston Texans
New York Giants over Cleveland Browns
Arizona Cardinals over Detroit Lions
Miami Dolphins over Jacksonville Jaguars
Matchup of the WeeK: Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans
3 of 5 on the week, 31 of 45 (69%) on the season.
Week 9 Power Rankings:
It’s getting late, so these will be fairly brief.
1. Arizona Cardinals (7-2, 1080 Points) [--]
The Cardinals place first in this week’s power rankings for the third straight week after a 55 point winning performance against the Lions.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars (7-2, 1065 Points) [--]
The Jags place 2nd again, with a win over the Dolphins to keep pace with the Cardinals. The Jags are only one Cardinals slip-up from the #1 spot in the rankings.
3. Seattle Seahawks (6-3, 960 Points) [--]
The Hawks come in third for the 9th straight week, with a 2 point win over the Redskins. The Seahawks are most likely the third and final guaranteed playoff team at this point.
4. New York Giants (4-5, 975 Points) [+1]
The Giants actually have the third most points in the league, but unfortunately are in 6th place. I feel like a win over the Cards would solidify a playoff spot for the Giants with only four more weeks to go.
5. Buffalo Bills (5-4, 916 Points) [-1]
The Bills suffered a tough loss the Houston Texans this week, but still remain 4th in the standings. The Bills are most likely a playoff squad at this rate.
6. Houston Texans (5-4, 856 Points) [-1]
One loss and a New York win makes Houston the 6 seed, but the Texans need 3 wins to clinch playoffs. They could potentially get those wins with the Dolphins and Browns on the schedule.
7. Washington Redskins (3-6, 910 Points) [--]
As of now, the Skins are on the outside looking in at a playoff birth. With only two weeks until the deadline, will they blow it up and rebuild?
8. Miami Dolphins (2-7, 919 Points) [+2]
The Phins have traded for Marshawn Lynch, but much of their team is built for now still. The Dolphins are 4 losses away from guaranteeing the #1 lottery spot.
9. Detroit Lions (3-6, 837 Points) [--]
Nothing has gone well for Detroit since trading for Reggie Bush, and the Lions continue to be #9 in my rankings
10. Cleveland Browns (3-6, 773 Points) [-2]
People thought he was on the rise, then he dropped 23 points. Enough said.
